Your Party Youth and Students unequivocally condemn the kidnapping of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and the barrage of Caracas by American forces.
We stand firmly in solidarity with the people of Venezuela and their democratically elected leaders as they stare down the barrel of a rabid American imperialism increasingly willing to collapse entire states without fear of consequence.
Echoing the CIA’s failed attempt to coup Hugo Chavez in 2002, and subsequent US-EU-led sanction regimes, this illegal attack on the Bolivarian Revolution and Venezuelan national sovereignty must be resisted by all global solidarity forces.
We demand that the “human rights” lawyer Keir Starmer make an immediate demand for proof of life for President Maduro and his family. We urge all those in the UK who can to donate to the Venezuela Solidarity Campaign and to give their time to organising against American war crimes.
