Support Caitlin Lee for Chair of Scottish Young Labour!

I’m a trade unionist and we don’t wait for an election cycle to fight for change, we organise. I want Scottish Young Labour to have a presence on the picket line, in Parliament, and at our places of work.

Caitlin Lee is the left candidate standing for Chair of Scottish Young Labour. Below, Labour Outlook has reproduced her statement on why she’s running.

I’m Caitlin Lee, I’m the branch Chair of Unite Hospitality in Glasgow. I’m a socialist and I’m a trade unionist, and I’m running for Scottish Young Labour Chair.

The reason I’m running is that we need to organise to face the cost of living crisis, to fight back on sky rocketing rents, and change our working conditions, including zero hour contracts.

As a trade unionist, you don’t wait for an election cycle, you fight back. That’s what I want to bring to Scottish Young Labour. I want Scottish Young Labour to have a presence on the picket lines, in our Parliament, and in our places of work.
