Ahead of Saturday June 12’s all day (11.00-17.30) Socialist Solutions to the Crisis – Taking on the Tories, Building a Fighting Labour Left event, Jon Trickett has urged people to attend this vital event to discuss the next steps in the fightback.
His message reads as follows:
“Saturday this week (June 12) is the Socialist Solutions to the Crisis – Taking on the Tories, Building a Fighting Labour Left event . I know everybody’s sitting at home, counting the hours and the minutes until Saturday morning, 11 o’clock – really make it a date!
And the fact of the matter is, is though some people are depressed on the left, I’m not. I think we understand what’s happening to our country. We understand the multiple crises that capitalism is facing and that COVID has posed – the environmental crisis, low wages and poverty.
On all those issues, only the left has got a solution. Look at the Tories – their only answer is to dip their hands into our wallets and purses to hand over to their wealthy friends. Obviously, we lost the leadership of the party, but that doesn’t mean we it’s all over. Because it isn’t all over. Only we have the answers.
So register here to join us on Saturday, and we want to listen to you to what you think. Let’s show the fall the way forward both for the party, the movement and the country. I believe we can still offer the solution which our country desperately needs.
